Walsall man unable to sleep after being hit with £8,000 water bill

Rzgar Ghaderi was left gob smacked after checking the South Staffs Water account on his phone A man has spoken of his sleepless nights after being hit with an eye-watering £8,000 water bill for his Walsall home.

Rzgar Ghaderi told Black Country Live that he was left in complete shock after being slapped with the massive £8,817 fee from South Staffs for his Centenary Lane-based property. The 42-year-old also said he has been unable to sleep - or eat - following the alarming demand for the six-month tariff, which needs to be paid by Friday, February 28.

But a spokesman for South Staffs Water has confirmed that they have been in contact with Mr Ghaderi and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
