Roadworks to Cause Delays

Drivers in Walsall to face delays as a number of roads are to be shut off for roadworks from today.


The Longest diversion being faced is Fryers Road, at the junction with Willenhall Lane, in Bloxwich. The diversion will be in place for three months whilst MPB, on behalf of network rail, will be carrying out highways improvements during the closure.


Wolverhampton Street, Market place, Cross Street and Stafford Street in Willenhall are all set to be closed until 6am as the roads are being resurfaced.


Peel Street, between the junctions of New Road and Wolverhampton Street in Willenhall, will also be closed until Wednesday for a fire hydrant to be repaired.


And Bentley Lane between Lane Avenue and Old Birchills will be closed for one day between 9.30am and 4pm.
